This American Heart Association class was designed with the purpose to teach lay rescuers the knowledge and skills needed to recognize emergencies, give first aid to adult and child, and infant victims.
The course fee for this class is $20.00 per student. Payment is due at time of registration for the prescheduled quarterly classes. Students who have taken Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support through Oroville Hospital may take the First Aid portion at a cost of $20.00. A current edition of the American Heart Association student manual is required for each student. A Course manual cost is $10.00. These are available for purchase at Oroville Hospital Education Department, if needed. Please call for further details, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm at 532-8640.
Must have Five (5) students registered 1 week before the scheduled class date for the quarterly classes. If the minimum enrollment number has been met and there are still openings in the class, students may register up to the day before the class.
For groups scheduling an as needed class, the number of students should be decided at the time of registration. The group is asked to supply the Education Department with any updates or changes in that number at least 24 hours before the class.
