Emergency Care Services

Efficient Triage and Treatment at the Oroville Emergency Care Center

Accidents and illness happen 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When it happens to you or your loved ones, Oroville Hospital Emergency Services is ready to care for you. Our experienced emergency care professionals consist of board certified physicians, emergency trained physician assistants, specially trained mobile intensive care nurses, and nurses that have successfully completed the Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).

We are a designated Level III Trauma Center and Stroke Receiving Center that treats approximately 40,000 patients annually. The Oroville Trauma Center is a member of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Trauma System.

Nationally, more than 100 million people visit emergency rooms every year. For Butte County residents, Oroville Hospital's Emergency Room is often the first point of care. We are open 24-hours a day and have physicians on duty at all times.

Oroville Hospital Emergency Care uses a 5-level triage system that provides the necessary urgent care to seriously ill or injured patients without neglecting patients with more minor conditions. This strategy, which also includes a decompression plan that brings in healthcare practitioners from other units in case of patient overload, allows the Oroville ER to treat every patient efficiently and with the highest quality of care and standards of safety.

If you have an emergency always dial 911.
