Oroville, CA, August 15, 2011 -- Oroville Hospital is excited to announce its newest addition, Dr. Martin Majer. He is the Oncologist for the Oroville Hospital Oncology and Infusion Center located at 2809 Olive Highway in Suite 150. Dr. Majer is Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. He also has a background writing multiple publications and conducting medical research.
Dr. Majer was born in Czechoslovakia and received his medical degree from Charles University in Prague. Dr. Majer’s past experience includes working for Kaiser Permanente providing adult primary care, advisory for home health care and a consultant for HIV and Geriatrics.
After practicing Internal Medicine for a number of years Dr. Majer went on to receive his fellowship and became board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. Since then he has been focused on working in private practice emphasizing in comprehensive management of a variety of oncologic and hematologic diagnoses.
Dr. Majer is excited to be part of the Oroville community. “Oroville is the perfect location; it is rural but also close enough to a big metro center. It is close to nature and has hard working people here. Patients should have no concerns with continuation, I am here to stay.”

Dr. Majer has a broad knowledge of all cancer diseases in order to support our community. Although, his main focus is on the prevention of cancer through appropriate screenings. Dr. Majer says, “Prevention is the best treatment.”
