Our anesthesia team is committed to keeping you comfortable throughout your surgical experience. Before surgery, you will be visited by anesthesia personnel who will interview you about your health history and will discuss your procedure. An anesthesiologist or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will monitor your condition carefully during surgery. After surgery, you will be accompanied to our Post Anesthesia Care Unit where your anesthetist will oversee your recovery. There, you will be given pain medications to ensure your comfort until you are ready to return to your room.

Oroville Hospital's anesthesia department provides a full range of services including local or regional anesthesia, intravenous sedation, and general anesthesia. Our anesthesia staff is made up of board certified anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists licensed for all types of anesthesia. Patient monitoring and general anesthesia care are carried out in accordance with American Society of Anesthesiology guidelines.
