Cardiac
Rehabilitation

According to 2001 American Heart Association statistics, an estimated
60,800,000 Americans have one or more types of cardiovascular
disease. Cardiovascular disease claimed almost one million lives
in 1998. This adds up to one of every 2.5 deaths in the United
States. In comparison, cancer caused approximately one-half million
deaths.
The good news is that innovative treatments and new medications
are being developed all the time. And, many aspects of heart disease
can be managed with careful attention to doctor-recommended therapies,
diet, exercise, and stress reduction along with proactive treatment
of associated medical conditions.
Our goal is prevention! Oroville Hospital's cardiac rehabilitation
program is designed to help heart disease suffers achieve their
highest level of function, live a healthy, active lifestyle while
minimizing further heart-related illness.
