Nationally,
more than 100 million people visit emergency rooms every year.
For Butte County residents, Oroville Hospital's Emergency Room
is often the first point of care. Our "ER" operates
as a designated Level III trauma center. This means that we are
staffed and equipped to treat all but the most severe emergency
conditions, and provide routine non-emergency care. We are open
24-hours a day and have a physician on duty at all times.
Our highly-motivated, experienced staff of emergency care professionals
consists of Board Certified Emergency Room Doctors, emergency-trained
Physician Assistants, and specially trained nurses certified as
either Mobile Intensive Care Nurses or by successful completion
of a Trauma Nurse Core Course.
Oroville Hospital's Emergency Services Department is accredited
by Nor-Cal EMS, Northern California Emergency Medical Services
trauma system.
