At Oroville Hospital, we understand that joint pain can affect your quality of life. For more than 30 years, Oroville Hospital has offered comprehensive orthopedic services to Oroville and the surrounding foothill communities to get you back on your feet. Our team of surgeons and operating room nurses are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of surgical treatment by providing quality care from diagnosis to recovery.

The highly experienced orthopedic surgery team at Oroville Hospital includes Dr. Marshall "Robert" Ching, Dr. Brian Ching, Dr. Christopher Jobe, Dr. Saif Farhan and Dr. Sukhdeep Sagoo. Outfitted with the latest technologies they provide personalized care to all of their patients. Our orthopedic department embraces a team approach, providing the benefit of various health specialists working together on one goal: to provide a smooth and seamless process.

Our orthopedic surgeons are leaders in arthroscopic surgery. Arthroscopic surgery is a simple, minimally invasive procedure, often used to remove fragmented or shredded material from a joint. Arthroscopic surgery is commonly applied to sports injuries of the shoulder, which is particularly susceptible to rotator cuff damage, and the knees, perhaps the most vulnerable joint in the body.

Dr. Jobe also specializes in Carpal Tunnel Release (CTR) using Ultrasound Guidance. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a common condition that causes numbness, pain and tingling in the hand and arm. With CTR using ultrasound guidance patients can receive the relief they need and get back to their daily activities within a few days of the procedure. Compared to traditional carpal tunnel release surgery, CTR using ultrasound guidance includes:

  • Incisions up to 5 times smaller
  • 5 times faster pain release
  • 5 times faster recovery time
  • Eliminate/reduce need for pain medication

In addition, our orthopedic surgeons are specially equipped and trained to do total joint replacements. Our surgeons are trained to perform the anterior approach in hip replacements, which is considered less invasive. Instead of cutting through the muscles surgeons are able to move them aside resulting in less damage and trauma to the soft tissues around the hip, which allows for quicker recovery times.

Some other surgical options that Oroville Hospital Orthopedics provide:

  • Arthroscopic surgery
  • Total knee, shoulder and hip replacement
  • Upper and lower extremities
  • Viscosupplementation
  • Nerve decompression
  • Cortisone injections

It is Oroville Hospital’s goal to provide every patient with a comfortable and welcoming environment. The physicians and medical staff at Oroville Hospital Orthopedics follow up on their test, procedures and rehabilitation after your procedure to make sure that you heal as quickly as possible.
