Stroke and Brain Injury Support Group
Meets 2nd Tuesday of each month from 12:30-2:00 PM
Dove's Landing Conference Room

The Stroke and Brain Injury Support Group is free of charge and open to all survivors, caregivers, friends, and family. Our objective is to provide survivors and their loved ones with a supportive environment to find friends, gain knowledge, and have fun. Meeting topics and activities may include nutrition, self-care, grief process, community resources, therapy, arts & crafts, Q&A with medical specialists, pet therapy, exercise, caregiver support & more!

April 14th - Charades and Bingo with Sara and Trevor
May 12th - Volunteer P.A.W.S. (Pets Assisting With Service) team - Robin Wilson CCC-SLP and Gus the purebred English Mastiff (gentle giant service dog)
June 9th - Tie Dye Hippie Grandma – Make your own Tie dye shirt - Linda
July 7th - Fourth of July meal with some Snow Cones

September 8th - Elite Biomechanical Design- demonstration of bio orthotic equipment with Steven Daniels

November 10th - Thanksgiving Meal (Rehab Staff)
December 8th - Holiday meal and Craft with Kim Odell RN Stroke Coordinator

Oroville Hospital Cancer Support Group
Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The Cancer Support Group is a free resource offered by the Oroville Hospital Cancer Center that welcomes all Oroville Hospital cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. We understand that battling cancer is a very difficult time for patients, survivors and their loved ones. Providing a healing environment where patients receive emotional support, meet others experiencing similar situations and have a chance to talk with medical experts is our goal. The support groups is facilitated by Nurse Navigator, Beverly Davis, RN.
