Williston Hayes, M.D., joined Oroville Hospital’s Ear, Nose and Throat practice in 2017 after more than 30 years in private practice. As a board certified otolaryngologist he treats patients for common conditions such as nasal, ear and sinus disorders; coughing and hoarseness. He also performs minor in-office surgical procedures such as skin lesion biopsies and ear cavity debridement.
Dr. Hayes grew up in Tennessee with a father who served as a general practice physician. He spent time working at his father’s practice, which encouraged him to pursue medicine. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, he moved to the Bay Area where he began his surgical residency training at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Dr. Hayes then joined the Navy where he received fellowship training in otolaryngology.
Following the completion of his Naval service, Dr. Hayes and his family moved to Butte County. He saw a need for more ENT services and opened a private practice in Oroville, where he has been serving the community ever since. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with family.
