Basic Life Support (BLS)
This course is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

This course is NOT eligible for CE credit.

Registration and Cost
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum class size of 9 participants.
Please contact the Education Department at (530) 712-2140 to register and reserve your seat. The course cost is $75.00 (which includes the price of a student manual), and payment is due at the time of registration. Drop-ins are not accepted.

Certified Nursing Assistant Update Classes
(For Certified Nursing Assistants with an active certification.)
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) update classes provide students with the opportunity to fulfill their annual continuing education (CE) requirements. The student will be instructed on the topics scheduled for the date they have enrolled. The course ends with the student completing subject review tests. Each appropriately licensed student is awarded CE certificates totaling 8 CE's upon completion. Please refer to the bottom of this page for a list of available classes.

Registration and Cost
Course cost is $50.00, and payment is due at the time of registration. Drop-ins are not accepted. Registration closes at 12:00 P.M. the Wednesday before each month’s classes. Once registration is closed, no additional seating will be granted.
