Ryan Sharrett is the Physical Therapy Supervisor at Oroville Hospital. A Paradise, CA native, he chose to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology at California State University, Chico. He then received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California. He has been at Oroville Hospital since 2009, working in the inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing settings. Through physical therapy, he is able to treat: post-op orthopedic patients, respiratory failure, functional decline, decreased balance, decreased endurance, and weakness.
Ryan believes his goal is to evaluate, educate, treat and guide patients through the bumpy road of recovery and back to a high quality of life. When inquired about what he enjoys most about his job, Ryan responded “Physical therapists get to see our patients from start to finish, from their lowest to their highest. We have the opportunity to challenge them and help them meet every goal we've set. It is a gratifying feeling to see patients on their last day and know that you've been able to have a positive impact on their life.” His primary goal with patients is to get them moving more and provide them with the proper education. He also likes to involve caregivers by providing them with training to support patients in their recovery.
When not at work, Ryan likes to play with his children, go on hikes, and play pickleball.
