Tama Czarnecki, MS, CCC-SLP is the Director of Rehabilitation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University and a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from University of New Mexico. She has been in the field since 1981 and typically treats neurological conditions and reading/developmental conditions. She has special training in treating patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.
She utilizes a transdisciplinary approach when providing speech therapy, crossing boundaries by sharing and reinforcing the goals of physical and occupational therapy. Tama prioritizes the reintegration of patients back into the community throughout the treatment time. What she enjoys most about providing speech therapy is the opportunity to help patients improve their ability to think and communicate with others and improving their quality of life by finding joy in life after a life-altering brain injury.
In her free time, Tama enjoys reading and exercising.
