Anita’s general approach to treating patients is to look at the overall patient and family to determine their needs and decide what is functional for them and their families to improve the quality of their lives and their activities of daily living. Some of the conditions Anita commonly treats are: aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, cognitive communicative deficits, voice disorders, swallowing disorders, and augmentative communication training for people with limited verbal communication. These conditions could be caused by stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, congenital birth disorders, and other disorders that cause these diagnosis.
Aside from being a speech language pathologist, Anita is also proud to be a musician and mother of two. In her free time she enjoys antique and thrift shopping, playing flute, piano and singing, cooking, travelling, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.
