Dr. Masoud Haghi, DO, is a nephrologist who came to the U.S. from Iran. He attended medical school in Long Island, New York, completed his Internal Medicine residency in Brooklyn, New York and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Haghi began his career in nephrology at Oroville Hospital in August 2023.
There are a few things Dr. Haghi enjoys most as a physician. He greatly values the connections he has made with his patients. He also recognizes and appreciates the different cultures patients may come from. In doing so, he makes sure to communicate with his patients at their level of understanding to create the most effective, personalized treatment plans.
Some of Dr. Haghi’s specialties include kidney stone prevention and treatment, dialysis, mineral bone disease, diabetic nephropathy and management of chronic kidney disease. He takes pride in going above and beyond for his patients, in order to prevent kidney damage, manage symptoms and maintain their quality of life. Keeping our kidneys in good health is essential for our well-being, which is why Dr. Haghi makes it a priority to educate each patient of the importance.
Dr. Haghi enjoys living life to its fullest. In his free time, you might find him riding his bicycle, swimming or playing volleyball. After attending school in two of the largest cities in the U.S., Dr. Haghi is very excited about working in Oroville, where he has been fascinated by the beautiful, blue skies and wide open spaces.
