Oroville Hospital Welcomes Prospective Psychiatry Residents to Oroville
Oroville Hospital recently hosted its open house for their Psychiatry Residency Program. Medical staff, program leadership and current students enjoyed meeting potential incoming residents while giving them a tour of campus, clinics, and the beautiful town of Oroville. Launching the hospital-based program last year was a significant milestone for Oroville Hospital. Currently there are ten residents in the program, and it looks forward adding more in the upcoming academic year. The hospital remains committed to expanding mental health services and education in our community.
The residency program is designed to cultivate future leaders in healthcare, emphasizing communication, clinical research, specialized expertise, and compassionate patient care. The curriculum provides residents with comprehensive training in areas such as Neurology, Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, and Community Psychiatry. This robust preparation equips them to thrive professionally while strengthening local healthcare services.

Pictured here are moments captured at the open house where members of the Oroville Hospital leadership team, current residents, and residency program staff welcomed potential residents.
