Oroville Hospital announced today that it has achieved the Healthgrades 2015 Women’s Health Excellence Award™. The recognition distinguishes Oroville Hospital as a top performing provider in women’s health across the nation.

Healthgrades 2015 Women’s Health Excellence Award recipient hospitals have the potential to save women’s lives. For the report, Healthgrades compared Women’s Health Excellence Award recipients to non-recipient eligible hospitals and found from 2011-2013:
- Women undergoing procedures where complications are the measured outcome at recipient hospitals, have, on average a 9.6 percent lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital than if they were treated by hospitals which did not receive the award.*
- Women being treated for mortality based conditions at recipient hospitals have, for in-hospital mortality, on average a 31.6 percent lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals which did not receive the award.*
